Our vision is to become the most exciting confectionery brand in Japan. This vision is shared by everyone in the company and is deeply woven into our philosophy, mind-set, and daily operations. We believe that creating exciting snacks starts with our people—if our employees aren’t inspired and energized, the excitement can’t reach our products. Excited employees = exciting treats!

To be unique, you need more than fun — you need originality

In the late 2010s, our focus on surface-level ‘uniqueness’ and ‘fun’ in product development led to stagnating sales. We learned from that experience and redefined what it means to be unique—shifting our focus to originality and authenticity, not just fun. Today, this perspective continues to guide everything we create.

Our commitment to quality fuels our excitement!

Most our products are affordably priced to encourage customers to pick them up easily. Even a 40-yen snack can be a small moment of joy in someone’s day. We firmly believe that no matter the price, the quality of our products should never lead to disappointment.
This unwavering commitment to quality is directly tied to our vision of delivering excitement. We believe that clearly communicating this commitment is essential, so our customers can confidently enjoy our products and appreciate their value.
Our vision also includes a shift toward using cacao sourced from ethical initiatives such as Smile Cacao, which is dedicated to eliminating child labor in the industry. After all, using ingredients produced at the expense of someone else’s happiness would go against everything we stand for. We take pride in actively addressing the issue of child labor, ensuring we can offer products that bring joy to everyone—both those who help to make them and those who enjoy them.

Our commitment to Toyohashi City

We believe that contributing to the local community is essential to the long-term sustainability and success of our company. In particular, we actively support the community of Toyohashi City (Aichi, Japan)—home to our Toyohashi Yume Factory and many of our employees—through sponsorships of professional sports teams like San-en NeoPhoenix, local fireworks festivals, and more. We also collaborate with businesses in the Higashi-Mikawa area to develop co-branded Black Thunder products that aim to help vitalize the region.
