The “Black Thunder Waku Zaku Factory,” located adjacent to the Toyohashi Dream Factory in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, features a visitor walkway and offers factory tours.
Please note that factory tours are not available at our other production sites, including the Tokyo Factory in Kodaira, Tokyo, and the Sapporo Factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
Advance reservations are required for factory tours at the “Black Thunder Waku Zaku Factory.”
When chocolate is exposed to high temperatures (above 28°C/82°F), the fats inside melt and rise to the surface. As it cools and hardens again, this creates a white, powdery appearance. This is called “bloom,” a characteristic phenomenon unique to chocolate. It is safe to eat, but the flavor will be diminished. To prevent bloom, store chocolate away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.
Additionally, even without exposure to high temperatures, chocolate confections combining nuts or cookies, like the Black Thunder series, may occasionally develop a white surface due to “fat migration.” This occurs when fats with lower melting points, present in ingredients like nuts, migrate to the chocolate surface. While the flavor may be slightly diminished, it is still perfectly safe to eat.
Please store chocolate in a cool, dark place below 28°C (82°F) with good ventilation, avoiding direct sunlight and high humidity.
When keeping it in the refrigerator, wrap it in plastic or place it in an airtight bag to prevent absorption of odors from other foods. Once opened, consume promptly regardless of the best-by date.

If the net weight of the purchased product matches the weight indicated on the back label, there is no need to send it back.
The Family Series uses automated packaging machines to wrap the chocolates. If there is an insufficient supply of snacks feeding into the machine, an empty wrapper may occasionally be produced. The net weight is rechecked by an automated inspection machine, so even if an empty wrapper were to be mixed into the bag, rest assured that there will not be a weight deficiency.
Our products are managed by weight, the standard quantity is merely a guideline and may occasionally fall short.
If the weight does not meet the specifications listed on the back label, the product is considered non-compliant. We kindly request you return it to us.
